Should I Terminate My Verizon Contract or Stay Unlimited.........

I guess it all started about 7 years ago; I had the HP iPAQ Pocket PC h6315 Smartphone from T-Mobile.  I thought I was living on top of the world with this phone because I was able to everything on it.  It came with the removable keyboard where I could send emails and work on spreadsheets and word documents, and even had a built-in camera.  But I digress, even though I loved the phone, overall the service back then was the worse.  Keeping having dropped calls and connections made it unbearable to keep.

Soon after, I decided to get rid of my service with T-Mobile and switch to a better provider, Verizon.  Now I must say with Verizon, I never had a drop call of a bad reception like I did with T-Mobile.  Verizon does provide one of the best within comes to mobile technology and I thought that it would take something really big for me to even consider leaving them especially when I have a contract for unlimited data.  Data has become primarily the most important feature to have, even more than the phone minutes itself.   So having unlimited data on a plan is a "gold mine" especially if you're constantly using large amounts of data regularly.

However, as a tech geek, I do have issues with keeping my contract with Verizon because of travel.  Sure it wouldn't be a problem if I'm traveling in the U.S. but outside of the U.S, since Verizon is a CDMA phone, there's really not that much support, while the other carriers provide travel and unlock capabilities on their phones.   For traveling purposes, although some phones on the Verizon network does provide GSM support, most of them may not.  Also CDMA phones are usually shipped locked to one network, and can be very difficult to switch.  For me, the choice is whether to give up the freedom data plan to enjoy the freedom of GSM, or stay locked in my “unlimited” data plan and stay locked in with Verizon?  Decisions, decisions, decisions.........
